Selling my 2015 Santa Cruz Tallboy LT. I am the second owner of this bike and have had it for 6 years. It has several upgrades, including a 1x10 drivetrain swap, dropper post, Fox 34 fork, and new Maxxis tires, and is priced accordingly. The frame size is XL and should fit riders 5'11 - 6'3, but the sizing is a bit old-school so I'd recommend we set up a test ride to check the fit. Send me a message and we can set something up! Listing at $1900 for now, but feel free to make an offer.

Excellent Condition - Mechanic Owned
The bike is in excellent condition overall, especially for its age. I used to work professionally as a bike mechanic, so everything has been maintained at regular intervals. It has been sitting for a few months, but I did a few things to get it running great, notably replacing bearings in the rear hub and bleeding brakes. The tires are relatively new with about 10 rides on them. The frame has its fair share of scratches and dings (see pics), but everything is cosmetic - that is the beauty of aluminum! Other maintenance I've done: fairly regular suspension services, frame bearings and bottom bracket replaced a couple years ago, chain replaced as needed. No creaks or other noises!

Ride characteristics
The Tallboy LT was a bit ahead of its time when it first came out and still rides great to this day. It climbs as well as my new '22 Stumpjumper evo, especially on technical climbs, and holds its own on downhills as well. The 29" wheels paired with Maxxis DHFs and Fox suspension are great for carrying speed over the rough stuff and maintaining grip in any conditions. The generous 210mm OneUp dropper post gets the saddle nice and low for steep descents. The brakes aren't the newest but certainly get the job done. Lastly, the Microshift Advent X drivetrain provides great gearing range and durability, and I think is actually lighter than comparable Shimano deore parts. The total weight of the bike is approx 35 lbs.
